James Young has been practicing law for 29 years and has been with Holt & Young, P.C., since its inception.
Mr Young’s practice is focused almost entirely on matters involving property owner associations. He engages in providing legal services addressing all aspects of the operation of a property owners association, with an emphasis on compliance with governing documents and applicable statutes, corporate management, restriction interpretation and enforcement, and preparation of governing documents.
Mr. Young has experience representing the full array of property owner associations from large to small, single and multi-family, professionally managed and self-managed; all in varying locales, including inner-urban, suburban, rural, lake and coastal communities.
In addition to his many years of working with property owners associations, Mr. Young has been involved in handling litigations matters for over 25 years and also has substantial experience with residential subdi¬vision and condominium development, real property transactions, landlord-tenant issues, corporate formation and appellate practice.
Mr. Young has given talks on a wide range of issues effecting property owners associations. He is a member of the Community Associations Institute and participates on the legal committee of the Greater Houston Chapter of C.A.I.
